packing_and_crating_ni_houston Whether you're moving or shipping fine china, crystal, or stemware for another purpose, you want to know that your fine dining materials are receiving the best possible treatment.  These delicate items are some of the most difficult to pack and ship properly.  You're always worried about making sure that there's enough padding or packing material, especially if your delicate items are part of a bigger shipment.  As you're getting ready to prepare your shipment, there are several things that you should take into consideration:

Use appropriate cushioning  materials.  When you're shipping fine china and other delicate objects, you want to be sure that you're protecting each item with the greatest possible care.  Part of this process is ensuring that you're using the right  materials.  Many sources will advise you to use newspaper or rags to help cushion your items during the shipping process, but they aren't designed to offer the protection that your items need.  Instead, try wrapping the items in your shipment with bubble wrap and adding packing peanuts to fill in the empty spaces between the items.

Each piece of china, crystal, or stemware should be wrapped individually before being placed within the box.  Don't stack plates on top of each other or place glasses one inside the other as you're preparing them for shipment.  It's tempting to wrap items together to save on  materials, but it's very important to ensure that your items don't shake against each other during shipment.  Individually wrapping each item ensures that they each receive the protection that they deserve.

Make sure that the box is packed tightly.  Don't force items inside when the box is full, but be sure not to leave any room for movement, either.  Add packing peanuts or additional bubble wrap around your items to ensure that they are as secure as possible.  After your box is sealed, pick it up and shake it gently.  If anything rattles inside, you'll need to open it up, add more  materials, and seal it again.  To ensure the greatest possible safety for all of your delicate items during shipment, you need to make sure that nothing is able to move inside your box.

When placing items on a pallet, make sure that they're loaded properly.  That  means that nothing should be hanging over the sides of the pallet; there shouldn't be space between the boxes; and the pallet has been wrapped from bottom to top to ensure maximum stability of every box on it.

Consider hiring a shipping company that will help package your delicate items.  You want a shipping company that has experience in moving items just like yours.  Whether it's fine china, crystal, or stemware, they should know how to properly package those items so that they don't have any problems during shipment.  With the help of an experienced shipping company, you can rest assured that your items will receive the best possible care.

Look over your delivery options.  Many shipping companies only provide curbside delivery.  On the other hand, white glove delivery will insure that your items are brought directly into your house.  . These services might be well worth the effort, especially if, in addition to being delicate, your shipment is too heavy for you to move on your own.
