Managing International Shipping to Thailand

Posted on Fri, Oct 23, 2015

When the time comes to send a package to Thailand via international shipping, you might be worried that you're going to have trouble getting your package together.  Like most other countries, Thailand has a list of restricted items and other concerns related to the shipping process; and because your package is important to you, you want to make sure that you get it right.

You can consult with the USPS website, which will give you all of the restricted items that can not be shipped into Thailand. For example, Thailand, like many other countries, prohibits the shipment of paper money and coins as well as gold, platinum, and silver.  It also comes as little surprise that Thailand does not allow the shipment of firearms and air guns, though the USPS website does specifically note that toy guns or those that are intended as part of a collection, not for use, are permitted.  However, Thailand does forbid the import of playing cards--an odd item that might not be considered as you pack your box.

Concerned that your shipment might need more help?  Seek out help from a  packing company that's familiar with international shipping needs and will help ensure that your package receives all the care it needs to get to its destination.  Shipping out of the Houston area?  Contact us to see how we can help!
