How to Ship a Mattress-If you are doing it by yourself.

To begin with, you need to find a clean workspace. It's also important to gather together the packing materials that you'll need. These include a polyurethane mattress shipping bag and a box that's about 3 inches larger than each side of your mattress once it's wrapped. If you don't want to buy polyurethane mattress   bag, simply wrap your mattress in old sheets, plastic or cardboard. Your goal here is simply to create a protective layer between your mattress and the box you are using. 

Once you've got your materials gathered together, you'll want to wrap your mattress in the professional grade polyurethane mattress  bag. You can then place it inside of the box.   You are not quite ready to send it.  Since a mattress has soft sides, you want to protect the mattress during the moving process.  We suggest that you now place the mattress on a pallet and send it via freight. The pallet and the associated 1x4’s that are placed around the mattress will serve to protect it during freighting.  When sending via freight, you can request curbside delivery.
