How to Send Something to The Netherlands is not as common of a question as most, but it is a very important one. There are a lot of regulations in regards to shipping overseas, and each country has its own varied regulations in combination to our own here in the States. Anything being shipped to another country like The Netherlands has to follow both country's customs laws.   It is up to the sender and receiver to obtain all the proper documents and permits from the corresponding departments or government agencies to abide by customs.

• Commercial items required to pass through import laws.

• Shares of stock, any currencies, securities, instruments of payment, and debt notices.

• Tobacco products restricted to specific quantities except cigarettes which are completely prohibited.

• Meat, meat products, milk, and milk products.

  USPS Requirements:

  The United States Postal Service is not the only company that ships to the Netherlands, but they do provide a good indicator of size and dimensions that would affect pricing.

• Item must be addressed to a street address or P.O. Box and it is strongly recommended to include a contact phone number for the receiving party unless being shipped to a P.O. Box which is required.

• A duplicate invoice is required for all personal shipments valued at $300 or more and all commercial shipments. It will be affixed on the outside of the package or enclosed with the customs declaration.

• The container being shipped must conform to the international shipping size requirements which can be found on the USPS website.
