AP report:  Nick Perry has reported that a cargo shipped that was wrecked off the coast of New Zea land has split in two.

This cargo ship contained powered milk. Scavengers have been seen trying to pick up these containers of milk from the beach.  Once the seawater touches the milk, it probably unsafe to consume the milk.

With AP reporting that most of the oil has been removed from the ship, it appears that containment and minimizing damage has been the main concern since the vessel split into two pieces.

Instead of placing the blame game, it looks as if everything is being done to minimize environmental impact.

By placing tracking devices or buoys on the containers still left on the ship, it should be easier to locate containers if the parts of the ship sink or head towards the beach.

Pack n send monitors environmentally friendly efforts throughout the world. Even in an environmental disaster, it is heartening to see companies attempting to reduce damage to the environment. .  It has been our  experience, that clean up efforts are often stalled while the blame for an accident is assigned.
