#1 Proper Packing Products
To ensure you are able to pack and ship all your belongings safely to your new home you should gather large, medium and small blank cardboard boxes and several different sized packaging envelopes lined with bubble wrap. You may also need, some blank newsprintand bubble wrap on hand to wrap breakables in such as glassware, artwork, pottery, and picture frames. Nothing is worse than having your delicate items show up to your new home damaged due to improper packing methods. You can find these items at office stores, hardware stores, pack and ship stores and local post offices.
We do not recommend purchasing boxes in bundles that contain various size boxes. These bundles may not contain the box sizes that you need, and are usually more costly than purchasing individual boxes.
#2 Packing Tape
Having packing tape on hand is necessary. Skip on the duct tape, go to the pack and send store, and pick up the strong pack and ship tape meant for packaging properly. It seals up the moving boxes and packages securely, which helps prevent your boxes and packages from opening during the shipping process. Nothing is worse than getting a damaged box with belongings missing from it.
#3 Different Labels
Having different kinds of labels on hand can help you pack and ship your belongings easier. The types of labels you will need are shipping labels with your new address written on them and blank labels from an office store to write down what items are in what box. This will ensure your belongings arrive too your new address safely and allows you keep track of your belongings easier. Nothing is worse than not being able to know what is in what box when your belongings do arrive to your new home.
