You can either use a traditional mover for in city moves, or use a freight company to load your items on a pallet and deliver to your curb. For small amounts of furniture, this may help you keep your price low.
Here are a few packing tips.
Start to pack early. Do not wait until the day of the move to begin your packing.
When possible, pack one room from start to finish. Mark each box clearly with the room your box will be delivered to, as well as the items in each box.
Pack heavier items on the bottom of the box. Be sure to use lots of packing materials. Peanuts, bubble and newsprint are a good start. Newsprint is better than a used newspaper, as there is no ink to damage your goods.
